Capturing the Stories of Survivors
Ilan is very passionate about human rights and because of this
he has been the go-to director of photography for
human rights activist, documentarian and
photojournalist Susan G. Enberg. His production
team, known to the community as the
DocFilmWarriors, has been documenting the
experiences of survivors of St. Anne's Residential
School, historically located in Ft. Albany First
Nation, where systemic and systematic abuses of
children were carried out.

First in the World to Capture the Home of Lennox Lewis
Ilan was the first cinematographer in the world
to be allowed inside the home of heavyweight
champion Lennox Lewis. There he captured an in
depth look at Lewis’ home atop Montego Bay,
Jamaica. He also did a sit down interview with
Lewis and the owner of HOSS Magazine a few
hours before being invited back for the boxing
champion's birthday party.
